Meet The Chef of Omni Tucson National Resort
Chef Kimberly Backman, a Southern California native, began her culinary journey at the age of 10, cooking for her siblings and developing a lifelong passion for the kitchen. She built her career in top California destinations like Thousand Oaks, Malibu, and Beverly Hills before making Tucson, Arizona, her home nine years ago. For the past six years, she has been a key part of the Omni Tucson National team, where she led the 2022 renovation, reimagining two existing outlets and creating two new ones. Chef Backman has also contributed to high-profile Omni openings and renovations across the country, including Seaport Boston, Homestead Virginia, and Montelucia Scottsdale. She has overseen four consecutive years of PGA tournament events at Omni Tucson National and currently serves as Executive Chef.
